About Us

Painting has been a long-standing hobby of ours. With the support and encouragement of those around us, we started selling our paintings and founded Waguespack Art in 2016. While our styles and subjects evolve with the years, we are grateful that painting is a constant in our lives that we get to share with others.

I’ve loved to paint for as long as I can remember. Some of my favorite memories growing up are the times that my mom would roll out long sheets of paper in our driveway and let my sister and I get messy and paint for hours and hours. Over the years my art has evolved from pictures of our family when I was little, to religious art in high school, to neutral abstracts in college, and to colorful abstracts and figures more recently.

While art has always been one of my favorite hobbies, I decided to pursue a career in medicine. I graduated from Auburn University in 2020 with a degree in biomedical sciences and a minor in political science. I currently attend LSU School of Medicine in New Orleans and will graduate in 2024. I’m incredibly thankful to have the ability to pursue my passions for both science and art!

While I earned my accounting degree from Nicholls State University, I realized somewhere along the way that numbers were not my passion! As my interests shifted away from my career as a CPA to raising my two wonderful daughters, a lot of our time together involved creative outlets. This led to countless hours of painting, drawing, and creating together.

Initially, I began painting seriously in order to furnish the walls of our home. With positive feedback from others, this led to painting gifts for family and friends and now to a full business.

My favorite medium is acrylic paint, and each undertaking is a learning and exploring experience. Inspired by everyday colors and God’s creations in southern Louisiana, my paintings range from abstracts to religious art to landscapes.
